What we look for

Every tutor on the platform clears the same credential floor. We don't accept everyone — and that's the point.
BA required
Bachelor's degree, verified by Vetty against the issuing institution.
Master's preferred
Common at the Certified Specialist and Senior tiers — preferred, not required.
Teaching license preferred
Preferred where US states require licensure; verified by Vetty when present.
100+ hours experience
Documented prior teaching, tutoring, or instructional work — verified.
C1 English (CEFR)
Versant-assessed on both spoken and written English. C1 is advanced; C2 is proficient.
ID + background check
Identity verified by Persona; criminal background by Checkr (US) or Sterling (international).
